The Academic Support and Access Center (ASAC) supports the academic development and educational goals of all American University students and is committed to promoting access for individuals with disabilities within the university's diverse community.
To support students who are experiencing food insecurity, American University offers the Market Food Pantry, providing free groceries and limited personal-care items to all students in need. The Market is regularly stocked to the best of our ability with fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, dairy, and more. The Market is designed as a supplemental source of food, not a primary source.
The Center for Well-Being provides information on mental health topics in a variety of formats — from handouts to workshops to community events.
Empower AU is American University's homegrown, nationally recognized, peer-led sexual violence prevention program. It is informed by the student voice, grounded in research, and assessed on an annual basis.
